Finally (Maybe) Official – Jason Momoa Is Aquaman – Updated

JasonMomoa

Update – the Variety report that is being used as the source of this article (and on just about every other comic and entertainment site on the web) is from June 16th of this year. But it's just making the rounds today. I will try to dig more into this, but at this point I'd take this announcement as not-so official yet.

It's been rumored for months but now Variety is reporting that Game of Thrones and Conan the Barbarian actor Jason Momoa has officially signed on to play Aquaman in Warner Brothers' upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Momoa will join Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) in the Zack Snyder directed film set to be released in March 25, 2016.

Aquaman first appeared in More Fun Comics #73 in November of 1941 and was created by Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris.
