Steppenwolf Further Revealed In Justice League Figure Pack

Steppenwolf is the villain of Justice League, we all know that (or at least one of them), and up until this week, we knew very little of what his look may be in the film. We have gotten a description here and there but other than that, pretty much nothing. But as always: toys will reveal everything.

Then, the other day, the LEGO® sets revealed what Steppenwolf would look like a little, helmet and all. Mostly though, it was a great look at what an appearance would look like in a LEGO Movie. Now, thanks to Batman-News, we have another look, this one much…better?

These are what we collectors refer to as "shampoo bottle" figures, due to the larger-scale and limited articulation. Also: they look like shampoo bottles. But there you have it. Man, his head here looks like an unpainted prototype, especially on all of the gray. And that is A LOT of gray. Steppenwolf's helmet next to him is a must if you are picking this up, if for no other reason than to cover that up. Also, why is his beard the same color as his face? The Batman figure continues the awkward trend of Mattel Batman figures having really buff chests that puff out with weirdly short arms and a cowl that doesn't look like it fits his face, so yay. I was hoping they would fix that, the BVS toys were ridiculous looking because of that.

What the hell is that pose that Batman is in here???

I guess the all gray fits the mold of what these Zack Snyder films go for, with their moody and dark vibes and all that. Personally, I am hoping for the best with the film, as I did not hate BVS as much as most people, but we shall see won't we!
