Batman from Gotham by Gaslight Gets the Statue He Deserves

Batman, the version from Gotham by Gaslight, is getting a Kotobukiya ArtFX+ statue. It will be released in July of 2018. The 1/10th scale statue will retail for $109.99 and is available for preorder right now.

Based a watercolor painting that depicts Batman as he fights with Jack the Ripper in 19th century Gotham City, this ARTFX+ statue recreates the hero in stunning detail.

Gotham by Gaslight is the first entry in DC Comics' Elseworlds series, in which popular artists depict DC heroes in alternate realities, or "elseworlds." This 1/10th scale ARTFX+ statue depicts the hero in a vignette style, reflecting the late 19th century setting of the graphic novel.

The sharp lines of the hero's face, defined shadows, and pale colors of the statue are designed resemble the artist's original brushstrokes. The attention to detail in this statue is sure to make it a desirable addition to your collection.

Like the other statues in Kotobukiya's ARTFX+ line, this statue is 1/10th in scale, allowing you to display it with other ARTFX+ Batman statues for a historical collection!

This statue is all about that base. I am completely in love with this base. All of the detail on the chimney looks fantastic. If anything, The Dark Knight himself looks rather small, really. Gotham by Gaslight is one of my all-time favorite Batman stories, so getting collectibles based on this version is always going to pique my interest. This looks like a Mike Mignola drawing come to life. The stitching around the mask could be a touch better, but that is a minor quibble. Straight on, it looks rather menacing, doesn't it? Like he is about to leap off his perch and attack the rest of your collection.
