"Pokémon Sword & Shield" Players Can Now Get A Free Gift

Those of you who own Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are in for a treat as Nintendo is giving you a free in-game gift for a short time. Aside from the fact that they're offering a free Gigantamax Meowth, as well as some Rare Poké Balls, there's a special gift you can snag. From now until January 30th, you have the chance to get 20 free Battle Points. No objectives, no missions, no towers, no training. Just a freebie on the game. In order to get them, you just have to follow a few simple instructions.

From the main menu, select Mystery Gift from the menu screen. Then head over to "Get a Mystery Gift", then choose "Get Gift via Code/Password". From there you'll need to connect online, which it will take you through the steps of doing. After that, you'll see a prompt for a code, which you'll enter: G1GANTAMAX. Once it is confirmed, the points are yours! As of right now it appears you can only do it in one game per account, so you'll have to choose between Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield for the redemption.
