ReCore And Sea Of Thieves Will Not Be At GamesCom

Two new major franchises at Microsoft's E3 press conference were ReCore and Sea of Thieves. ReCore is coming from developer Armatage and MegaMan alum Keiji Inefune, while Sea of Thieves is Rare's new MMO Pirate game.

If you were hoping to see either at Gamescom though, sadly, we won't be. Speaking on Twitter, Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed that both games would be absent because any materials they would make for the conference would be too much to bare, especially this close to their initial showing:

I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I'd have loved to have seen what ReCore actually 'is' as opposed to a cinematic trailer, but alas, it's not to be. We will be treated to Crackdown, Quantum Break and Scalebound as well as anything else new though, so I can't imagine the conference will be wanting for content.
