Kanye West Is Making A Video Game About His Mother

It's no secret that Kim Kardashian "made" a video game last year. The mobile game turned out to be an incredibly lucrative venture for her brand, so perhaps it's not surprising that her husband Kanye West is following behind. What might be pretty surprising though, is the direction he is taking.

In an interview with The Breakfast Club show Kanye revealed that he was making a game about his mother, who passed away in 2008. He didn't reveal much past that, but did clarify that work had been going on for six months. West said:

Right now I'm working on a video game for 'Only One'. The idea is, it's my mother going through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light. We've been working on it for like six months.

Only One is Kanye's most recent songs in which he collaborates with Paul McCartney. You can check out the interview here. West talks about the game at around the 59 minute mark.

I have to say, I'm at least interested to see what it put together for this. This is obviously a deeply personal topic for West, so it would be intriguing to see in what form this turns up in.
