Comic book creator Gary Friedrich in 2008
Fury and his Howling Commandos and The Monster of Frankenstein, he also created the motorcyclist from hell Ghost Rider, which spawned movie and TV shows, and the less-merchandisable Son of Satan for Marvel Comics. Joining Marvel Comics in the 1960s, he mostly wrote romance, westerns, war, and horror comics, which segued into superheroes as the industry changed. Titles[...]

Venom Funko Pop Collage
I would have to say out of these first five, though, that Iron Man with the reactor blasts is such a standout and the most badass-looking figure. #gallery-3 { margin: auto; } #gallery-3 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-3 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-3 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */ In case you were wondering: of course there[...]

Doctor Strange #389 cover by Mike del Mundo
That said, it does give Strange something to do while Wong and Ghost Rider do all the plot relevant stuff in Damnation and Johnny Blaze: Ghost Rider. I will almost never complain about an excuse to have Dormammu and Shuma-Gorath in a story The stakes never feel too high, admittedly Dormammu claims to be weak, and[...]
Wong and the Midnight Sons make their final stand against the hordes of Hell and the demonically-possessed Avengers. Before long, Mephisto himself arrives to gloat over having killed Johnny Blaze. However, Mephisto does not know that the Ghost Rider has become the king of Hell, and the tides may soon turn in favor of Wong. Doctor Strange: Damnation ends better than it began. While some of the deliberate lack of repentance on the part of Stephen Strange and the lack of focus on the members of the Midnight Sons that aren’t Wong and Strange does bother me, this final installment didn’t really get on my nerves as much as the first. Don’t get me wrong, this issue still has a myriad of problems that keep it from being required reading. This story was stretched to breaking point, and a good portion of what matters happened in the Ghost Rider issue. This book is a protracted third act. As far as plot-relevance goes, Blade, Doctor Voodoo, Bloodstone, Man-Thing, Scarlet Spider, Moon Knight, and Iron Fist may as well not be here. Even in their own tie-ins, Iron Fist and Scarlet Spider don’t really do anything important to the story. The follow-up story promises more with the Midnight Sons though, and that will hopefully come to something. Rod Reis’ artwork is a welcome presence in this book. His style lends itself to the ethereal and surreal nature of this setting and plot. The color gradience adds a unique atmosphere and generally looks quite good. Szymon Kudranski and Dan Brown handle the epilogue with the Midnight Sons and Doc Strange. The more realistic aesthetic does contrast Reis’ work in an odd manner, but it looks good too. Doctor Strange: Damnation #4 is a decent enough read. If you liked the rest of the story, you’ll like this one too. The fact that the story at least acknowledges that Strange’s idea was terrible from the start and ties it to personal problems helps a lot. Reis, Kudranksi, and Brown provide good visuals. Feel free to check it out.

Cosmic Ghost Rider
Many fans were probably hoping that the Cosmic Ghost Rider series, announced back in February as written by Donny Cates, would be the comic where TBA finally had a chance to shine However, it looks like TBA has been replaced once again, as Marvel has revealed that Dylan Burnett will take over art chores on[...]

aos Favorite Gadgets
And while the shotgun axe may be the fine edge of the word gadget, I'm fairly sure a book does not count as a gadget — even one as powerful as the Darkhold. And I can't believe no one said Ghost Rider's car. Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs Fridays at 9 p.m ET on ABC. https://youtu.be/mydEjVqTEgYVideo can't be[...]
Thanos #16 cover by Geoff Shaw and Antonio Fabela
Seeing Frank Castle transition from Punisher, to Ghost Rider, to Herald of Galactus, and finally to acolyte of Thanos, is greatly enjoyable too. We don't get much of the actual degradation of Frank's sanity There's a scene of him screaming on a plateau, and he's chatting up Galactus in the next Admittedly, the narration helps make[...]
Hasbro Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider has gotten many figures over the years, including from Hasbro In this current incarnation of Marvel Legends, however, one thing has been missing from his figures: his bike What is the purpose of releasing a Ghost Rider figure without his bike? When they debuted the new Marvel Legends Ultimate Riders series at SDCC[...]
Spirits of Vengeance #4 Cover by Dan Mora and Federico Blee
Ghost Rider's design looks a bit goofy with his massive shoulder pads We get to see an angel towards the end, and it's a pretty uninspired design. Also, the meeting with the dwarf is quite odd because the panel layout makes him look like a giant compared to the Spirits of Vengeance His panels are mostly[...]
