Darth Vader Helmet Prop Based On Rick Baker's Original Molds For Star Wars

I was seven years old when I saw Star Wars and Darth Vader moved across the screen like a giant, scaring the daylights out of me. That cold steel look, the sound of his breath. He did not seem human, but rather something from the gates of hell. When I saw Empire Strikes Back, I was older but no less shaken by him standing in the dark waiting for Luke Skywalker. When he announced he was Luke's father… my heart stopped. There was no way. Then came Return of the Jedi and Vader once again confronts Luke… but this time it's Vader who is turned and helps against the Emperor. Luke drags his body through the station, finally stopping to remove his father's mask… and inside was an old, pale man who looked a lot like Brando on the set of the Island of Doctor Moreau. The illusion was gone. Darth Vader was just a man.

If look had never taken the mask off… Vader would be the bad ass among bad asses. It's all about that mask. And now you can own one.
