Marvel Legends Sentinel Hits 7000 Backers: Master Mold Head Unlock

On Friday Hasbro announced their Marvel Legends HasLabs X-Men Sentinel. This figure is all funded by fans with crowdfunding and their goal was 6000 backers. The 26.3 inches Sentinel clocks in at $350 and has 72 points of articulation, LEDs in head and chest, and will include a Bastion 6-inch Marvel Legends figure. Well, the crowdfunded figure already succeeded its 6000 backers in a little over a day. With as big as the X-Men fandom is this is not surprising at all. The best part is that Hasbro announced that their will be tier rewards for each 1000 over the 6000 goal. Last night the HasLabs campaign broke that 7000 limits and we were shown the reward: The Master Mold Sentinel Head. To die-hard X-Men fans, this is a big deal as the Master Mold was first introduced in the Marvel Comics X-Men series issues #15–16 (December 1965 and January 1966). This ultimate Sentinel was created to be a portable Sentinel factory and was created by comic greats; Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. He will be a perfect figure to take on fans X-Men Legends figures when he finally arrives.

This is a great Tier 1 reward for fans of this revolutionary Marvel Legends figure. With light up eyes, chest, and attachable tentacles for mutant capture this is the ultimate X-Men collectible. The crowdfunding campaign is the best way to do a figure like that as most retailers wouldn't want to take the risk with such a high priced figure. The backers re already pushing 8000, which means the Tier 2 will be unlocked but still have yet to be revealed. The HasLabs Marvel Legends campaign still has 43 days left so who knows how many backers there will be in the end. I hope there are more rewards after the Tier 3 campaign unlock as for $350 collectors are expecting a lot from this. Follow or join the X-Men Legends Marvel's Sentinel here.
