Bleeding Cool Comics Chatter, Week of April 11th, 2018: Read Terrifics Instead of Immortal Men

The Bleeding Cool Comics Chatter has once again returned, this time to a cavalcade of new series from Marvel, DC, and Image Comics. As usual, Jeremy Konrad and I are here to discuss which ones are worthy of your time and money and which ones to avoid like the plague.

Immortal Men #1 by James Tynion IV and Jim Lee, Domino by Gail Simone and David BaldeonExiles by Saladin Ahmed and Javier RodriguezCrude by Steve Orlando and Garry Brown, and The Dead Hand by Kyle Higgins and Steve Mooney are the focuses of discussion this week. Surprisingly, Jeremy and I agreed on every comic with the exception of Domino, which is caused by a severe underappreciation of the incredibly talented Gail Simone on Jeremy's part. That said, I can't claim to be a Domino expert, so maybe this book may have been a huge departure for the character.

We agreed that Immortal Men and Crude had underwhelming first issues and the #1's of The Dead Hand and Exiles were downright amazing. As you probably gleaned, I enjoyed Domino a lot more than he did.

Once more, we managed to stay surprisingly on track in this installment of Comics Chatter. We strayed a bit on Immortal Men because it was such a dull comic to talk about in addition to reading. We wound up back upon Terrifics by Jeff Lemire and Ivan Reis, because it is such a good book, and it's worth telling people to read it at every available opportunity. We digressed into Original Sin by Jason Aaron and Mike Deodato Jr. a little while talking Exiles because of the Unseen/old Nick Fury connection therein.

In any case, the link to the video is below. I hope you guys really enjoy it, and we will hopefully be back next week.
