Monday night is here and it's time for The SML Podcast Episode 97: 2014 Thing of the Thing Awards Sponsored by Scotch Brite, here on Bleeding Cool!
It's that time of the year when the year is ending and it's time to look back on the year and how damn stupid it was along with how damn great it was and all of the dumb stuff in between!
This week, The SML Podcast presents the 13th Annual 2014 Thing of the Thing Awards sponsored by our good friends at Scotch Brite, who have been providing us with the products we need to scrub our eyes, ears, and minds of the really bad games that come along each year!
We check in on all the big awards including Dumbest Trends of the Year, Best Wii U Game that isn't Smash Bros., Worst Dialogue, Best DLC, and the ever popular GAME OF THE YEAR! We've got all of the big categories covered, each one supported by huge name sponsors, and we spend nearly two hours discussing what you should and shouldn't have for your consoles come Christmas Day!
All the big games are mentioned, whether good or bad, and in some cases both. Shadows of Mordor, inFAMOUS: Second Son, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Goat Simulator, DriveClub, Destiny, Diablo III, and so many more that I don't feel like going back and remembering. And believe it or not, we actually say some positive things about Sony stuff!
If that doesn't work for you, you can check us out on iTunes and subscribe to us and get all of the episodes a few days early!
Music this week is a three pack of songs from the recently released Super VG Christmas Party album from many of the biggest names in the video game remixing scene, which is available now over on BandCamp! For FREE! EXCLAMATION POINTS!!
CarboHydroM – Flight of Santa Man (Mega Man)
ARMCANNON – Ease Side Story II: Kninja Hill Rider (Ninja Gaiden)
Ailsean & Nikolai – Winter in Iwatodai (Persona 3)
Thanks for checking us out and we'll see you next Monday with a new episode!
