Microsoft HoloLens Has Given Us Real World Portal – Almost
Everyone loves Portal, right? You either love Portal or you are wrong. What's important about that is you can now see what it would be like to live the world of Portal thanks to one fan and Microsoft HoloLens.
Kenny W is a game developer working on augmented reality projects. His previous work includes an AR take on the Pokémon franchise which actually manages to make the realities of virtual pet fighting just as adorable and awful as you'd think it was. Aren't they just so cute as they brutally injure one another for your amusement?
His latest project tosses Portal's titular portals in VR alongside a companion cube that interacts not only with the portals themselves but also with physical surfaces and objects. Which is some pretty awesome coding.
