Words by Jason Kauzlarich and Brandon Wainerdi.
Warning: This piece contains some major DC Comics spoilers.
This past weekend, when all eyes were on Chicago and C2E2, the likes of Joe Quesada, Scott Snyder, and Greg Capullo were living it up at Fan Expo Dallas, the latter two to hint at things to come and sign a ton of[...]
This week Jeremy and Josh discuss comics like Doomsday Clock #4, Dark Knights: Metal #6, Daredevil #600, Saga #50, and Days of Hate #3. Also, they talk about why you should probably just read Terrifics #2 instead.
In any case, let's get going!
Dark Nights: Metal #6 cover by Greg Capullo, Jonathan Glapion, and FCO Plascencia
Win: Dark Nights: Metal #6 is a Hell of a Lot of Fun
I'll be the first to tell you that this final issue of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Metal is an absolute narrative mess[...]
It plays like a party, with Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo throwing every wild idea at the wall and seeing what sticks.
That same celebratory and devil-may-care story construction is what leads the story to being bloated There are numerous plot threads that come to minimal fruition or are outright dropped.
That "help" which Flash and Cyborg[...]

Hopefully he may outlive the events of Metal, though I don't expect him to do so.
Dark Nights: Metal #5 art by Greg Capullo, Jonathan Glapion, and FCO Plascencia
Greg Capullo's artwork is still perfectly suited Scott Snyder's story His gritty style continues to be fitting for the gloom and nihilism of Metal His detailing is top-notch,[...]

Dark Nights: Metal #4 takes us to the Dark Multiverse with Superman and Batman. Plus, the rest of the Justice League and their allies continue their hunt for the Nth Metal. Is it a compelling continuation to the story?

Batman Lost adores its vulnerable protagonist without deifying him, it is a good mind trip of a story, and the art is gorgeous.
Not to mention the book, written by Tom King, continues the stellar work on the character these last few years that started with Scott Snyder Now, we get a statue based on this newer incarnation.

Well, we have hit the mid-point of the main story of DC's major event, Dark Nights Metal, and Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, Jonathan Glapion and FCO Plascencia really hit their stride with the series and the stakes for the DC Universe.
With Batman lost to the Dark Multiverse, and the Dark Knights wreaking havoc across[...]
Octavio Karbank reports from New York Comic Con for Bleeding Cool, this time from the panel In Conversation with Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.
Unquestionably one of the most talented and well-renown comic book writers in modern times, Scott Snyder has firmly cemented himself in the history books of Batman and pop culture in general[...]
At the Batman panel at New York Comic Con 2017 today, Scott Snyder finally revealed the details on his long-awaited final Batman story (for a while), teased since April.

"I really like the concept of having hard-driving, heavy music as a complement to the incredible story that Scott and I are telling."

Greg Capullo is currently drawing the bombastic, wild DC event Dark Nights: Metal, after a long run on Batman with Scott Snyder (who is also the writer of Metal) and a brief break away working with Mark Millar on Reborn But just what will he work on next?
Well, back at San Diego Comic-Con, Capullo hinted[...]
Greg Capullo is a legendary artist, mustachioed muscle man, and now, Bleeding Cool has learned, a totally bitchin' guitar virtuoso.
The Dark Nights: Metal artist took to Instagram this week to post a perfectly looping video of himself playing the guitar solo for the song Got Your Six by Five Finger Death Punch.

He and writer Scott Snyder are quite a team I may not like Batman, but I won't disparage their skills when it comes to writing the character.
Color artist Jonathan Glapion gives the perfect level of dark and dreary in his color palette choices He works with Capullo's style very well.
So yeah, I'm on board[...]
As a result, with Jonathan Glapion and FCO Plascencia, the story looks and feels like something different than previous DC events.
It's not about going cosmic and widescreen with the superhero battles, but rather by adding the cosmic nightmare and gnashing teeth and thrashing chains of classic heavy metal.
Dark Knights: Metal #2 artwork by Greg Capullo,[...]
Plus, I'm on the internet, you can't really escape what's going on in pop culture online.
So, almost everyone knows Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo are comic book geniuses They dominated The New 52 with Batman, and it looks like this juggernaut team isn't letting up with Dark Nights: Metal After picking up my copy, I[...]
