PSA: Halo 5 Beta Is Live For Those Who Have The Master Chief Collection
Now that both Xbox Live and The Master Chief Collection have worked through their respective issues, I am sure there have been a ton of people who just got their Xbox Ones out enjoying the Halo bundle with friends and families. Being able to play every main story campaign and every multiplayer map in one place is no doubt a great time.
These people can get a little extra value out of their game now too as the Halo 5: Guardians beta has gone live. They'll be in for quite an extended period with the multiplayer too as it's set to go on for 3 weeks. This is to give 343 Industries a period for feedback and testing their servers. If you have any thoughts, it would be worth sharing them too. This is a beta nearly a year in advance for the game. Unlike a lot of modern testing sessions, there is time for 343i to act on feedback from their community.
If you find yourself loving it so much you want to pre-order it sight unseen, you can even drop $250 on a legendary edition of the game. It was announced today that you could reserve your copy of the game in three different price ranges right now:
-
Standard Edition ($60) — Halo 5: Guardians plus an exclusive poster, only available to those who pre-order.
-
Limited Edition ($100) — Everything in the Standard Edition plus new digital content to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items wrapped in a uniquely designed steel book.
-
Limited Collector's Edition ($250) — Everything in the Limited Edition as well as additional content such as a commemorative numbered statue designed by 343 Industries. More details on the design to be shared at a later date.
Of course, it might be worth waiting to find out a little bit about the game before dropping $250 on a statue that is currently unspecified.
Sadly, I do not have a copy of The Master Chief Collection on hand, so you will have to tell me how great/awful it is in the comments if you've been lucky enough to get some time with it.
