343 Industries Announces Halo Infinite at the Xbox E3 Briefing
The one thing on every Xbox fanboy's wish list going into the Xbox E3 conference was Halo 6. While the name is different than expected, we do get to play as Master Chief again in a Halo game, so that's more than enough to pacify most fans of the franchise.
We don't know a whole lot more about the game other than the basic facts – it was developed by 343 Industries using the Slipstream Engine and will be an Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive game. It is the next chapter in the Halo franchise, making it the sixth proper game. And it looks like it might follow the trend of having a Battle Royale mode. Which, is kind of annoying, but does make some sense. Microsoft needs Halo Infinite to do well, after all. But the name similarity really makes me thing of Infinite Warfare, which was kind of Call of Duty: Halo. Which is not great.
