LEGO BrickHeadz Have A Familiar Feel To Them

LEGO has revealed the first sets from their new line of Brickheadz, a series that was first shown at San Diego Comic Con last year. The very first sets were exclusives there, and included two-packs with Doctor Strange and Black Panther, Captain America and Iron Man, Superman and Wonder Woman, and Batman and The Joker. Those all go for big bucks on ebay now, as the LEGO exclusives always do. They looked like this:

My first thought? They look like LEGO Funko Pops. From the big eyes, no mouth design, to the blocky nature of these, it is hard not to look at them and see a Funko box around them. That being said, the packaging here is very cool, and should pop off the shelf in the LEGO aisle. Chances are good these will retail for $15 or less, most being under the 100 brick mark, which is a pretty good price for something like this when comparing to a Pop or even their line of Star Wars Microfighters. The first series will consist of eight sets.

The first four focus on The LEGO Batman Movie. Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Joker all look like pretty cool builds, with Joker being the biggest at 151 bricks.

The other four sets are Marvel Heroes, and will include Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Black Widow, which is awesome to see. Also surprisingly, Black Widow clocks in at the biggest sets, consisting of 143 bricks. These look to be sets based on their MCU looks.

These sets will be available in February for LEGO VIP members, and March for everyone else.
