WWE Star Roman Reigns Calls Out NXT Champion Keith Lee

WWE Superstar The Big Dog Roman Reigns wants a piece of the new NXT Champion, Keith Lee. Reigns called out Lee on Twitter after reading a Sports Illustrated profile on the NXT star. Lee defeated Adam Cole on Wednesday's episode of NXT in a winner take all match, making Lee the first person in history to hold two championships in NXT at the same time. Lee went into the match as NXT North American Champion and added the NXT Championship to his accolades by the end of the night in the main event of the second night of the Great American Bash.

Roman Reigns has faced off with Keith Lee before, during the men's elimination match at the 2019 Survivor Series. Lee and Reigns were the final competitors in the Raw vs. Smackdown vs. NXT triple threat match. During that encounter, Roman Reigns came out victorious on behalf of WWE Smackdown.

But after the match, Lee bowed to Reigns, and Reigns offered Lee a fist bump. And now, it seems that Reigns would like another encounter with Lee, this time, one on one. "Congrats on one hell of a journey @RealKeithLee," The Big Dog tweeted. "Still a ton of work to do, which I know you already know. Keep killin it and representing. I definitely still want that one on one, Champ! 👊🏽"

Unfortunately, it may be a while before that happens. While Lee is currently working for WWE's NXT brand, Roman Reigns, a Smackdown star, isn't working at all. Reigns, arguably WWE's top star, decided to stay home during the pandemic to protect his family. So until the risk changes, a Reigns vs. Lee match will have to wait.
