An Angry Fox To Hang On Your Wall…Or Horrible Adorables!

When I was a kid, I distinctly remember sitting in my grandparents kitchen. To the left of a cuckoo clock was a jackalope head, and it truly terrified me. I think Jordan Elise Perme and Christopher Lees must have had something similar in mind when they started designing Horrible Adorables…

This is how they make them…

"The fiber sculpture is created by sculpting a styrofoam base and layering scales of high quality wool felt overtop. Real glass taxidermy eyes bring life to the creature… well sort of! A sawtooth hanger is on the back of the plaque, so this creature is ready to adorn your wall!"

The husband and wife team bring their soft sculptures to life by meticulously arranging patterns of felt scales onto hand carved forms. The resulting characters have qualities that are both cartoonish and eerily realistic at the same time.

But…the unique wall sculpture comes at a high price! $60.00 for a small one and $150.00 for a large one to be exact. I'm not sure I can get on board with something this expensive that is called "huggable," but can't really be hugged. Eh, to each his own, right?
