Borderlands 2 Claptrap Gets a Deluxe Figure from McFarlane Toys
Borderlands 2 Claptrap is getting a deluxe figure from McFarlane Toys in February. Coming with a plethora of accessories, this will be the definitive figure version of the fan-favorite robot form the popular game series.
A general purpose CL4P-TP robot manufactured by Hyperion, Claptrap acts as the Vault Hunter's (sometimes) useful guide and quest-giver on Pandora. Programmed with an overenthusiastic personality, Claptrap masks his fear and loneliness behind cheerful bravado.

Everything about this release is great. The giant window box packaging does a fantastic job showing off everything you are getting. Hopefully they use a harder plastic so it's not terribly flimsy. Great call including the figure stand, as well; although I think in this case it would look aesthetically better if they had left the title off of the base.
The figure itself looks amazing. Anyone who has played the game and enjoyed it even a little is going to want this thing, so as long as the quality is there on the production run, they should have a hit on their hands. It will be a difficult choice choosing which cap to display him with, but I think I would go with the sheriff's hat.
If you would like to purchase this one, look for the Borderlands 2 Claptrap to hit store shelves in February. Some might see it a little earlier in January, but February for sure. Or, if you don't want to risk missing it, you can preorder one right here on Big Bad Toy Store.
