New Fan Made Silent Hill Mod Nails The All-Important Tone
Silent Hill is one of my all time favorite game series, easily taking the my title for the best horror franchises out there. Or rather, what Silent Hill can be takes my title for the best horror franchises out there. The series has lost its way in that last half decade or so, but the tone, themes and creature designs are some of the best ever put to code.
The franchise seem to be in the stable hands of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro at the moment with Silent Hills, but I think a full release of that game is many years off. To tide you over, here is the project named Alchemilla by GLS Machinima (via Game Informer), that seems to have nailed the Silent Hill atmosphere and setting.
