Report: The HoloLens Will Be More Expensive Than The Xbox One

The HoloLens has been impressing with its showing since it was announced a few months ago. The business as well as entertainment applications could have pretty staggering effects on the world.

Don't expect that to come cheap though. According to a New York Time's source, who is a Microsoft Executive, the HoloLens is going to:

cost significantly more than a game console, which runs more than $400.

This shouldn't be overly surprising. When it launches, I don't expect to see it adopted by the general public out of the gate. Instead it will likely be picked up by tech-heads and businesses first. That higher price point shouldn't be too huge of a stumbling block for those buyers.

I'm sure, if the tech takes off, we will see more price friendly versions in the future.
