Slow Horses (Spy Thriller Television Series)

Slow Horses is a BAFTA-award-winning British spy thriller from Apple TV+ based on the Slough House series of novels by Mick Herron. The darkly comedic drama follows a dysfunctional team of disgraced MI5 agents who have been exiled to a dead-end administrative unit known as Slough House. Led by their brilliant but obnoxious and slovenly boss, Jackson Lamb, the "slow horses" repeatedly find themselves entangled in dangerous espionage operations that threaten Britain.

The series is defined by its blend of high-stakes espionage and mundane office politics. The "slow horses" are agents who have made career-ending mistakes and are expected to quit out of sheer boredom from their tasks. However, they consistently stumble into real conspiracies, forcing them to use their skills to save the day, much to the annoyance of both their boss, Lamb, and MI5 headquarters, known as The Park.
