Funko Unveils Second Series Of 'DC Bombshells' Pop! Vinyl Figures
DC Bombshells have been a cash cow for DC Comics since The New 52 era when the original variant covers were all the rage. Based on the success of the first wave of very successful Bombshell Pops, Funko has decided to put out a second series of the hit figures. Some of these are even better than the ones in that original selection. Let's take a look!
DC Bombshells Funko Pops Series 2
The powerful ladies of DC are coming together for
another wave of DC Bombshells Pop! vinyl! These pinup-inspired DC Bombshells guard the homefront
during World War II, and this time they're bringing
in some new reinforcements. The newest wave includes vigilante baseball star Batwoman,
the plant-controlling Poison Ivy, the high-flying Hawkgirl,
stealthy and agile Catwoman, and the Kryptonian Supergirl.
The regular releases are fantastic to look at. Supergirl with her flowing cape is an obvious standout, but my favorite sculpt is the hawkgirl. I love her flight mask on her head and the jetpack pose. Just all-around great stuff here. Catwoman gets the chase figure with a classic purple color app, which is even better than the regular.
Exclusives
Sepia is all the rage! Personally, I love when they do these variants, it feels like they are walking off a movie screen from the old serial days. Barnes and Noble gets Supergirl, Hot Topic has Hawkgirl flying in (must get), and Books A Million gets Catwoman. And in a huge surprise, we get a holiday-themed Wonder Woman at Michael's of all places. That may be a tough get, I have friends who work there and they are not known for carrying Pops really. I mean, they are a craft store. That will be an interesting situation to keep our eyes on.
All of these will be available in stores and on their respective websites this November.
