HasCon Exclusives For Star Wars, Deadpool, Transformers, My Little Pony…But Are They Truly Exclusive?

HasCon is September 8th-10th (man, that is not that far away), Hasbro's first con they are throwing themselves in Providence, Rhode Island. On top of having guests like James Gunn and Peter Cullen, they will of course have exclusives available on the con floor for people to buy. But really — are they all exclusives?

Most of them are variants of existing products, or "early release" versions of figures that will be available later this year at retail. So which are which? Well, I am glad you asked!

HasCon Exclusives For Star Wars, Deadpool, Transformers, My Little Pony…But Are They Truly Exclusive?First up is a Magic: The Gathering three-card set with cards based off other Hasbro properties. Look, I haven't played MTG as much as would like in recent years, but that Grimlock card needs to be mine. The NERF card is a funny bit, as well. This will run you $30. The D&D card will be in a set that releases later on this year though, if that is the only one you care about.

Next up are the two My Little Pony items: an MLP mystery box that are all the rage right now that has figures, plush, journals, tumbler, book, and tons more for only $20 that my daughter will kill me if I don't buy. Also something for me! A MLP D&D Dice Set that I will not feel bad at all about rolling with when my group gets together. That will also run $20. These are actually exclusive to the con itself.

Transformers get two figures: a Titans Return Leader Class version of Arcee that includes a Ultra Magnus Headmasters head that fits other figures. That will run $30, but will also see regular release at retail. The other is actually pretty cool. It is a Power Bank to charge your devices on the go that transforms into Optimus Prime. It is a 6500mAh battery, and comes with a USB cable and the Autobots logo etched into it for $50. That is exclusive to the con, and also the most expensive on this list.

Marvel gets a Legends repaint of the Deadpool that was released last year, this time in his X-Force Uniform. At HasCon, he will run you $20.

HasCon Captain Rex Black Series

And finally is the one that will be toughest to get. This Star Wars Black Series Captain Rex has been a LONG-requested figure from fans, and was one of the biggest reveals of SDCC last week. This release is ahead of a regular retail release, so if you can wait you should be OK, but their exclusives are always in premium packaging. For $20, this might be worth picking up. Retail has been bad for Star Wars for a year, so pick this up and stay worry-free.

There is, however, no word yet on if any of these HasCon exclusives will be available on Hasbro Toy Shop or anywhere else not at the show. With a lot of these seeing retail release this fall and winter, it would not shock me if they were not, but we will be sure to let you know if that changes. You can buy tickets to HasCon right here if you are so inclined.
