New York Toy Fair: Visiting the Kotobukiya, Storm Collectibles, and Dark Horse Booths

We had a chance to swing by the Kotobukiya, Storm Collectibles, and Dark Horse booths today at New York Toy Fair and they were a bit more subdued than in years past. That is not to say they didn't have some awesome looking figures and statues coming up, but it felt a little lighter than in previous Toy Fairs. Let's take a look at what they had.

Kotobukiya's big news coming into the show was their announcement of ARTFX Premier, a higher end version of their ARTFX statues. The first two statues in the announcement were Thor and Captain America, which were both on full display. Joining them in the case were two more: Iron Man and the Hulk. The Hulk especially looks…well, incredible. All four feature even more detail and sculpting work than previous releases. Also on display were ARTFX+ Newt and Dumbledore statues from Fantastic Beasts, a sweet Catwoman, and teases for their Joker Ikemen and Poison Ivy and Mary Marvel bishoujo statues. Scarlet from GI Joe will be coming to that line, along with the Baroness and Lady Jaye. On the Marvel side, Dark Phoenix and Domino are being made, and in the weirdest ones yet: My Little Pony bishoujo statues.

Over at the Dark Horse booth, they had some new Game of Thrones items on display, including a replica iron throne, and an iron throne business card holder. A John Snow statue and Dragonstone stein wrapped up their GOT offerings. Not to be outdone, plenty of Witcher statues will be available soon. Rounding out their booth was a neat display of some stylized PVC figures from the likes of Spyro, Metal Gear Solid and more.

Rounding things out was the Storm Collectibles booth. Here they had King of Fighters, Street Fighter, Injustice 2, Mortal Kombat, and boxing legends Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali figures. The big news for them, announced before the show, was their new Gears of War line, which the first two were on display. Of their figures, I was most impressed with Guile, Darkseid, and Lobo, they are all looking fantastic. Check them all out below.
